Update: March 20 - 3:12pm Diploma Exams On March 20th, Alberta Education posted the following regarding Diploma Exams and Provincial Achievement tests “All Grade 6 and 9 provincial achievement tests and Grade 12 diploma exams are cancelled. Under special circumstances, students can request to write a diploma exam. Students wishing to do so should speak to their teacher and school administrator.” If you have registered for the April writing at BWOS, and you still wish to write the Diploma, please contact BWOS between March 25 and March 30. We will be looking into how we can accommodate you. For those students choosing to write, previous deadlines and expectations are still in place. For those students wishing not to write the April diploma, please contact BWOS, or check for updates on Facebook, sometime early next week. For the week of March 23 1. No new course registrations. We plan to start scheduling registrations towards the end of this week. 2. BWOS will not be open for students to come in and work. Our regular support will be available through phone, email or text. 3. Students/Parents will be allowed to drop off completed work. This can be done through the system we implemented previously. Please go to the back of our school to our parking pad; there is a mail slot in the garage door. Please label your assignment correctly and drop it into the mail slot. Make sure all pages are stapled in properly ahead of time. 4. Students/Parents will be allowed to come to BWOS to pick up the remainder of their course work under the following protocol: . . . . . When you arrive at our school, call the office at 403-526-4156. We will then bring the course work to your car. This way, no students need to worry about entering the building. Other Notes: 1.BWOS hours will continue to be the same 2.Math Tutoring on Wednesday evening, March 25th, will continue, with the following changes. No students will be allowed into the building and all Wednesday night math support will be done via phone or other suitable on-line methods. As usual, please call to book a time. We are here to support our students and are committed to seeing them through course completion with as minimal interruptions as possible. Keep checking our Facebook page/website for updates.

IN REGARDS TO EXAM WRITING Starting Thursday, March 19, students will be allowed to book their exams at BWOS on a limited basis. As per usual procedures, please call the school to book a time and date. Note: No students will be allowed into the building who show any signs of sickness, whether you traveled or not. There will be a zero tolerance towards this. Please refer to the PRSD “Assessment Guide For Entering School Facilities” . (http://bit.ly/2xKTI1V). OTHER NOTES: 1. Our Fall Protection Institute at F&S Safety Buzz on March 23rd is cancelled. We will be mailing out cheques to all those students who paid a deposit. We are here to support our students and are committed to seeing them through course completion with as minimal interruptions as possible. We hope to start taking new registrations in the near future.
